Parker Daniels Kibort is proud to announce that one of its clients provided cover photography for Prince’s latest album, Piano & a Microphone 1983.
Allen Beaulieu, Prince’s personal photographer for the first 7 years of Prince’s meteoric rise to super-stardom, contributed the new cover and additional previously unreleased photos to Prince’s newest, and first posthumous release, Piano & a Microphone 1983. The new release was announced on June 7, 2018, which would have been Prince’s 60th birthday. The album was officially released on September 21st, 2018.
From the period literally beginning Prince’s musical career, up to the release of Purple Rain, Mr. Beaulieu shot thousands of photos of Prince. His photographs helped create the image and persona that would become known to the world as Prince. Beaulieu’s photos include the album cover artwork for Dirty Mind, Controversy, liner images and record labeling for 1999, and now, his 3rdalbum cover: Piano & a Microphone 1983.
